Sweet for Summer!

Hey! I am in a super good mood which seems like such a rarity at the moment (unless I'm with Chad) cute I know haha, Anyway I thought I would share with you a new favourite Summer drink of mine, It's so easy there aren't really any instructions for it as such however it is YUMMY so I have a few pictures and just a general chat really.

The main ingredient in this smoothie/drink is watermeloneee which I hadn't had in so long before I requested that mum picked one up in Tesco's and only now have I realised it is such a perfect ingredient for a refreshing summer smoothie.

This is a quarter of a watermelon, I have worked out that a quarter makes the perfect amount for one person so I used a quarter..

I also added blueberries, raspberries and some natural Greek yoghurt for a thicker consistency and more flavours, you can add whatever you feel like but this is definitely my favourite combination!
For me there's not much better than fresh summer fruit!

I used my Nutribullet to combine everything and make the actual smoothie but any blender type thing is okay!
I couldn't resist but take this photograph, I'm sorry.. the smoothie was actually a pretty pink for once rather than green or brown (avoid the spinach if you want pretty colours)

Tan credits to Bondi Sands Gradual Tanning Milk! I loved my outfit for work today so I made my brother suffer and take pictures of his annoying sister..

How cute are these flats? Despite giving me blisters I love these shoes, they literally go with every dress I own as well.

Ready for a scary close up.. Me and my smoothie, oh dear, thought I'd share it anyway!
This smoothie is so refreshing and sweet whilst remaining flavoursome and very healthy! What's not to like? I even got my brother drinking this drink and he would normally run if I offer him one of my smoothies (The spinach idea puts him off)
Morgan made me do this, but PLEASE can we just appreciate this curly fry, I couldn't eat them because of my allergy but it's for sure the best one I've seen..haha

I hope everyone has a really nice Summer and I will be posting regular blogs for you, maybe even some videos when I go to Holland and Majorca, but we'll see!

Summer Shopping!

On Thursday it was my favourite day, PAY DAY! Pay day means one thing: shopping! Me and Chad went to town so that I could buy a few bits mainly because I am starting my new apprenticeship soon and I wanted some nice, smart things to wear (that's my excuse) So I thought I would show you what I brought, unfortunately I had no one to photograph me trying the outfits on, so I had to settle for taking pictures of the purchases instead!

Firstly I took a trip to Primark to see if I could pick up any bargains, I straight away saw a few bits that I liked and went straight to the changing rooms.

The first thing I got was this stripy bodysuit, I LOVE bodysuits as they are so easy to wear (except when going to the toilet) and I find them super comfortable. I particularly liked this one as it has cut out shoulders.

I also picked up these really cute pink, lace up flats. I think these are perfect for summer and will be great for styling with dresses and skirts.

Finally I got this easy to wear, simple mint green dress, this looks so much better on and It is so comfortable too, I really like the fact that it comes with a belt as it draws it in at your waist making it a lot more flattering.

The next shop I went to was Topshop, Unfortunately I didn't pick anything up in the sale however I finally brought an a line black denim skirt, although it was quite pricey at £30 I think it will be really easy to wear to work and something that I can pair with pretty much anything!

From Newlook I got a few bits, I needed a new pair of heels and I knew I had to buy this pair, they are so comfy and as they are nude they will go with lots of outfits! They're almost like a sandal style heel which I think are great for Summer.

This next purchase was a bargain in the sale, It caught my eye last minute and I had to get it. I was pretty stupid taking this picture in front of my white wardrobe as you can't see it very well but I think it will dress up any outfit!

After searching for a new little bag for work I found the cutest little, black rucksack and it fitted, which was impressive as for some reason all the other rucksacks looked too big on me, I debated whether to buy it because I wasn't really meant to spend all my money and after putting it back Chad brought it for me, which was so lovely of him. I love it!

Today when I finished work I was greeted with a delivery, my Bondi Sands gradual tan and exfoliating mitt that I ordered. I am going to use this before prom so I will let you know how I get on with it!

That's everything I brought, I will leave the links to everything (except Primark products) down below, I hope you are all having a nice weekend!

Moving into May-A few fashion favourites!

The last few days the weather has been amazing, it would be even better if I wasn't stuck inside revising for 75% of the time but regardless of that it has been lovely! I thought I would share with you a few fashion items that I have been loving recently!

Firstly a casual outfit that I have been loving and I think is perfect for those days when you don't want to wear shorts but don't want to be drowned in clothes!

I love this combination of the light denim and the standard stripes I think it is definitely a cool, casual look but still put together! These Mom jeans are from Topshop (I'll link them here) and I prefer these style of jeans for Spring/Summer as they are looser around your legs meaning you don't get as hot! The stripy body suit is from new look and is a light weight material, I had to pick this up as stripes go with everything! (Linked here)

Next is a bag I picked up at the end of last year and I've recently started using it, I think it's perfect for this time of the year. I love the floral pattern on it and it goes perfectly with any Spring/Summer outfit! Unfortunately I can't link this as it was from my old however there are bound to be more like this.

After seeing Chad buy a really nice bomber jacket for Spring I couldn't resist having a look for myself, I knew that I wanted a pink one and once I saw this one I had to get it! It's a light, raincoat like material and a pearly pink colour. (Linked here)

Lastly a beautiful, floral skirt from New look, I wore this on Saturday to baby Pietas baptism!
This is perfect for Spring/Summer as it consists of gorgeous summery pastel colours and it's also great for a more formal occasion! (linked here)

I hope you're all enjoying the lovely, sunny weather!

Sweetheart Style!

With Valentines day shortly approaching i thought i would put together and share with you a super cute but classy outfit, suitable for a meal out or even a nice meal in! including my gorgeous new off the shoulder body suit from Boohoo which i absolutely adore, it is so pretty!
I'm sorry about the photo- quality of the stripes on the skirt, it's just the effect the flash has on it! I think this Striped Midi skirt from Primark goes perfectly with the white body as it am loving monochrome recently and the fitted skirt contrasts the flowy top beautifully and is very figure flattering!
Personally i think wearing an open back top or dress is so sophisticated and classy, i love how this top sits on my shoulders and it is also so comfortable! The great thing about body suits is you don't have to worry about them creasing up as they stay put perfectly and it's like wearing a leotard! This is my second one in my wardrobe now- Definitely favourites for this season!

I paired this outfit with these simple, black, chunky, open toed heels that i picked up from Office last year, they are so comfortable and i think they go perfectly with this outfit- dressing it up! Definitely a pair of go to heels!

I think this look can be pulled of my most people as it is simplistic and very, very flattering!

I love this outfit and think it would be great for Valentines day or just a more formal occasion!

I hope you enjoyed this look and have a great week!

Long coats and Loafers!

On Saturday me and mum had a very exciting trip into town, i got my prom dress! Which is so gorgeous, but I'm not sharing any pictures yet! I got it from Sugar and Spice if any one was wondering, they offered a really good service and I'm in love with my dress.

As well as getting my dress i also couldn't resist going into Topshop as i saw the sale sign and who doesn't love sales? The first thing i spotted were some black, leather loafers with tassels on, they are nothing like any of my other shoes and i had to get them, and it's always great when you get told they're half price at the till! £18 down from £32 and i love them!

After having a further browse i noticed a gorgeous sandy/beige long boyfriend style coat, i have wanted a long coat for a long time as i think they make up any outfit! This is still in store if you are interested ( I'll link it here)and it's so comfy as well as stylish, it comes down to the middle of my thigh which is a perfect length in my opinion .

I paired the coat with my black, cord, A- line skirt, a burgundy jumper- for a pop of colour and my new tasselled loafers!

Personally i think this coat can be pulled off by anyone and it is so easy to pair with so many different outfits due to it's simplistic style and colour!

I think the Loafers and the Boyfriend style coat are a great combination and i will definitely be incorporating this combo into more looks!

What combinations have you been loving recently? That's all for today- Lauryn x

I have linked all the items in this outfit below, or very similar items!
